He tells about why he wanted to do a Danish album, that he ONLY wanted to do 10 songs, not 11, but 10 songs – and how and the record company together found out what kind of Danish songs he wanted to interpret, such as CV Jørgensen and worldknown HC.Anderson.
Isam B conquers Denmark
•August 27, 2007 • 15 CommentsToday was the release day for Isam Bachiris debut album named Institution, containing 10 tracks in Danish. The album has already been called a milestone within the Danish Music Scene, and he has been compared to some of the biggest Danish artists ever music and lyric wise, such as Kim Larsen, HC Andersen, Emil Aastrup, Karen Blixen and so on. Isam has shown a completely convincing and sincere insight in the Danish life on the street and among the youth generation. His lyrics are extremely clever and poetic at the same time. His way of writing and rhyming is very rare and his passion for old Danish national hero authors shines through. 50 per cent of the songs are inspired by some of the revolutionary Danish authors throughout the centuries. Institution recieved mainly 4-5 and 6 stars in different magazines. To listen and buy all the tracks click here and here.
A English translation of the 10 track titles
Alle veje fører til Malmø = Al ways leads to Malmö (City in Sweden). Within the latest decades of years it has becomed very popular among the Danes to move to our brothernation Sweden, because it’s cheaper to live and breath there – The song is about all the people travelling to Malmø, because there’s more Bling (Money) and more Breath (Tolerance).
År som Måned = A Year like a Month. A song dripping of sorrow, when you suddenly lose somebody close to you.
Benny Adam = Benny Adam.
Entertainern = The Entertainer. Cover version of Danish artist CV. Jørgensen. Lyric here.

I Danmark er jeg Født = In Denmark I’m Born. Originally one of Denmarks most important and beloved poems written by HC Anderson himself at the time. Isam clearly shows how much he loves his country by declaring “It’s you I love, It’s you I love, Denmark my own sweet homeland”.
Institution = Institution. About Isam’s raise, his daily movements and life in the inner streets of Copenhagen.
Så Længe = As Long. Featuring the legendary hiphop artist and rapper Per Vers.

Lyrics for Isam’s new single
•August 2, 2007 • 11 CommentsThe lyrics goes like this in Danish
Fra en institution, til en institution
Født på Thorsgade, på femte dimission
Tillid er min skat
Succes min kompagnon
Tungsindighed min ven
Min havn og min passion
Chorus
Mmm
Fra institution til institution
Kom nu med ned af gaden med min situation
Viden er min by
Viden er min by
Isam B goes Solo
•July 11, 2007 • 11 CommentsDear Outlandish fans – a very hot hot piece of news
Isam B goes solo! His solodebut album will be relesed in Denmark on the 20th of August – containing mainly Danish lyrics and his super funky and wicked voice. The first track from the record is called Institution, a song about what drives Isam personally and how you are going from one institution from another in your life.
Personally I’m not sure if this is a good gamble, I know some of the old songs he did on his own back in 2000 – and his voice just ain’t that strong for a whole record – but make your own mind and take a look at his own myspace profile Click here. According to Danish music magazine Gaffa, Outlandish will still carry on normally.
Outlandish in Denmark again
•May 26, 2007 • 16 CommentsOutlandish are back for full power in Denmark after their successful tour in the US. Rumours are wandering around in Denmark that Outland have been discussing with a few recordcompany’s in the states, containing million-dollars deals (!). Yesterday Outlandish played at the Danish familiy place Friheden in the next biggest city in Denmark after Capital Copenhagen, namely Århus. The concert was only given 3 out of 6 stars in the Danish musicmagasine Gaffa…… hmm? But they are probably a bit tirred of playing the same tracks and procedurs over and over again I bed. To see some few pictures from the concert go click here.

Cheers for the Charity
•March 29, 2007 • 5 CommentsOutlandish spend their day in Copenhagen, playing acustic versions of I Only Ask of God together with Lasse from Gypsies on Guitar. On their own initiative the guys walked from café to café, playing one song for unexpected but very pleased guests and afterwards collecting 3 Danish Crowners from everybody who wanted to support Outlandish and Save the Child’s new campaign for more focus on the water-issues in the thirds world contries. Their request for the eating cafe-guests were, Cheers for Charity guys! The glass of water you’re drinking right now – is something we in Denmark just take for granted. If we had been in Morocco or Pakistan you had to walk 5 miles for that glass, every single time!. Waqas explaining the people, what this is all about and Isam going around saying “Give me your money!” 😉 Here you can see how it went. Click
The link for the campaign itself. Click
And do remember tomorrow is the release-day for the Outland-Dreams & Future video here in Denmark. The one they have made together with a schoolclass, to get more attention on education.
Also happy mariage to Mr. Bachiri who got married some fridays ago in CPH.
